During the 3rd grade year in music we sing songs that emphasize the pentatonic scale (Do, Re, Mi, So and La). We learn new skills while playing instruments in groups to accompany singing. Third graders add advanced rhythms like syncopa and tick-a-tick-a to their rhythm skills. We continue to read and write music and expand our music vocabulary to contain terms such as bar lines, measures, time signature and many more!
