A look at the HAL third grade unit
***Since one of the HAL goals is to have students attain a higher level of thought in both critical and creative thinking all of the activities explore different facets of thinking. .***

Let's Think About It: This is an introductory unit that teaches the student about the different types of critical and creative thinking that people engage in every day. Students use higher level thinking skills in mini sessions that focus on divergent and convergent thinking in both the critical and creative realms of thought. Games and activities are employed so the students gain an understanding of strategies and ways to approach and solve different types of problems. Student interaction is encouraged as many future HAL sessions will use a collaborative learning format.
