We started off our
solar system theme by reading some books and deciding what we would need for
our space center. Here's the list of things that we came up with . |

Here's Mrs. James
hanging the space ship. The "K" Kids insisted that we have a black
nose on the rocket. This took a little thinking, but we figured it
out. |

This is our space shuttle from the
front. We work for KASA (The Kindergarten Aeronautics and Space
Association. |

Notice the flames left from liftoff. |

We have stars and a satellite near our
rocket. |

This is one of the control panels inside
the space shuttle. It was designed by the "K" Kids. |

Here's Mission Control. |

The "K" Kids can send information back
to Mission Control on their computer.
|

The Mission Controllers are responsible
for keeping a log of all flights. |

Beware! We have discovered trash,
people, planets, aliens, books, and a black hole! |

Here are the inner planets on our planet
mural. |

...And the outer planets. The
small red, blue, and yellow dots are the moons around the planets. |
|

Every astronaut must
wear a space suit to stay save from the harsh elements in space. |

Here are our oxygen
tanks for any space walks that are necessary. |

Our space shuttle can only take 2
astronauts at a time so those students left behind on earth can work with
our "Space" flannel board... |

...to match planets with their names. |
