Who says that kindergarten isn't rocket science??

We started off our solar system theme by reading some books and deciding what we would need for our space center.  Here's the list of things that we came up with .

Here's Mrs. James hanging the space ship.  The "K" Kids insisted that we have a black nose on the rocket.  This took a little thinking, but we figured it out.

This is our space shuttle from the front.  We work for KASA (The Kindergarten Aeronautics and Space Association.

Notice the flames left from liftoff.

We have stars and a satellite near our rocket.

This is one of the control panels inside the space shuttle.  It was designed by the "K" Kids.

Here's Mission Control.

The "K" Kids can send information back to Mission Control on their computer.

The Mission Controllers are responsible for keeping a log of all flights.

Beware!  We have discovered trash, people, planets, aliens, books, and a black hole!

Here are the inner planets on our planet mural.

...And the outer planets.  The small red, blue, and yellow dots are the moons around the planets.

Every astronaut must wear a space suit to stay save from the harsh elements in space.

Here are our oxygen tanks for any space walks that are necessary.

Our space shuttle can only take 2 astronauts at a time so those students left behind on earth can work with our "Space" flannel board...

...to match planets with their names.
