Under the Sea

We mixed water, salt, sand, and shells...

This is what happened after an hour or so.

First, we predicted if it would mix together or settle out.

We mixed up ocean (salt) water and fresh water and predicted whether an egg would sink or float in each.

Here's what happened!  The salt water is on the right.  Can you explain why the egg is floating?

Here's one of our ocean centers.  We have all sort of felt board sea creatures.

We read about whales and then wrote about these amazing creatures.

Here's a close-up of one of our whale writings.

Our Ocean Mural...Do you see the star fish hiding in the rocks?

We have sea horses living in the sea grass.

Here's a closer look at our of our sea horses...

and jelly fish.
