Leprechaun Mischief

During the month of March, we had a little trouble with leprechauns in our classroom.  They did all sorts of mischief, but they never hurt anyone or anything.  Mr. Kauk wouldn't allow that in our school!  Here are some pictures of the mischief...

Here are the bottles of leprechaun treasures that they brought us for one of our literacy stations.  They had some very interesting treasures!?

This was our recording sheet for the leprechaun treasures.

One day the leprechauns built a castle and left green coins and notes for us.

Here's another note.

When we came in, we found that they had tipped over chairs and dumped out all of our crayon baskets!

We found green sparkles all over.  Mrs. Kathy (our custodian) isn't going to like this!

We made leprechaun finders in hopes that we would catch a leprechaun and get his gold.  We made a pact as a "K" Kid team that if we caught a leprechaun, we'd all share the gold.  Maybe there's one under the couch.

We found some green sparkles everywhere!

Could this be a leprechaun?

Mrs. Brockhaus suggested that we "Launch an Investigation".  Everyone used their Leprechaun Finders and recorded their information.  Here are some of the things that we found.  Here we are recording some of the mischief in the playhouse center.

Oh, no!  Green water in the bathroom!?

We thought that we better inform Mr. Rice about this!

When we went to recess, we found leprechaun footprints!

More footprints...could leprechauns fit down the drain pipe?

Here are some of our findings...
We found sprinkles at the library station.
We found sprinkles at the number station.
