Week 2 of our Holiday Travels

We read several versions of the Gingerbread Man and compared them.  Then we baked Gingerbread bears...

and decorated them.

They were cute and delicious!

Yum!

Then we took one bite and graphed how we ate our gingerbread bears.  Most of us ate the head first...math sure is tasty!

Jackson's family shared a few more German item.  Here are his cousin's 'lederhosen' and a nutcracker.  We also listened to some German Christmas carols.  The music was familiar, but the words sounded a little funny!

Here are some of the gingerbread people that we made.  We are one SWEET class!

Next we were off to Israel to learn about Hanukah.

We colored menorahs and made Jewish stars.

At our stop in France, we learned that Noel is Christmas in French.  We made these cool Noel banners.

Our final stop of the week was Italy.  We read about Old Befana.  She brings gifts to children in Italy.  Hunter's mom lived in Italy when she was little.  She shared her ornament of Befana with us.
