All About Eggs

Wednesday afternoon, we did "Eggs"ploration Stations with our Sixth Grade Buddies from Mrs. Weber's Class.  Here are some of the stations that we did...

Before we got started, we tested just how strong the eggs are.  A "K" Kid, Mrs. Weber, and one of our Big Kid Buddies tried to break a raw egg.  They pushed on the ends of the egg with all of their strength and couldn't break it.  Everyone was shocked when we cracked the egg by tapping it on a plate, and they saw that it was simply a raw egg!

Why does one spin faster?

Dying our eggs.

Estimating and measuring the circumference of our eggs.

Observing and recording what the inside of an egg looks like.

Learning about water displacement.

Weighing our eggs.

Showing off our bunny baskets and taking our eggs home.
