Fall Fun

One of our kindergarten science objectives is to learn the four different seasons that we experience in Nebraska.  This week we spent our time learning about the season of Fall.  The weather cooperated wonderfully...cool nights, warm days, wind, and rain.

We made a chart of Fall Words so that we have a little shortcut when we're journaling.  Now we don't have to sound out quite as many words, and we can still write about our great ideas.

Most of our math this week was patterning, but we needed to practice our number recognition so we put these pumpkins in order.  The "K" Kids thought it would be fun to make them into head bands.

We read lots of informational books about fall this week. Many of them told about what happens to trees in fall.  Here are our fall leaves.

Mrs. Brockhaus and some of the "K" Kids brought in fall leaves from the neighborhood.  We used our 5 senses (okay, only 4 of our senses) to explore the leaves.

Here our our Four Season trees.  Fall leaves, bare trees, trees with blossoms, and trees with fruit.
