Who says that kindergarten isn't rocket science??

To gain entry to KASA (Kindergarten Air & Space Association) Headquarters you must give the daily password to the teacher.

We started off our solar system theme by reading some books and deciding what we would need for our space center.  Here's the list of things that we created.

Everyone had to help.  The frame has been built.  Now we're adding windows under the direction of Ms. Townsend.

We have stars and a satellite near our rocket.

Mrs. Janzen and her crew are getting the oxygen tanks ready for a space walk.

This is the Control Panel Crew.  What will all of those buttons do?

Mrs. Moneymaker is the crew chief assembling and filling the fuel tanks and rocket boosters.

Our mission is for the United States so we need flags to represent our country.

We need stars in outer space.

...and more stars.

This is the lettering crew putting KASA and United States on our shuttle.

We need fire for liftoff.

The food crew is packaging and labeling food for the next mission.  After all, we don't want it floating around in our space ship.

We may need tools to fix something on our space mission so were packing the toolbox.

This group is doing a little research before their space mission.

This is part of our control panel.  Don't press the 'special' button!?

Our completed spaceship!

Every astronaut must wear a space suit to stay save from the harsh elements in space.

Here we are putting the flag on the moon.

Here's Mission Control.

The "K" Kids can send information back to Mission Control on their computer.  The information is then recorded in our Mission Log Book.

Oh, no!  We've discovered aliens on Jupiter.

Repairing the rocket on one of our missions.

These astronauts are preparing for a space walk.

Getting ready to put our flag on Mars..."One small step for kindergarten.  One giant leap for mankind."

Painting the sun.

Making planets for our solar system.  Can you tell which planet this we're making?

Getting the asteroids ready for our Asteroid Belt.

Here are the inner planets.

...and the outer planets on our Solar System mural.

Our space shuttle can only take 2 astronauts at a time so those students left behind on earth can work with our "Space" flannel board...

...to match planets with their names.
