Ocean Fun

Our ocean theme started off with a look at the globe to find the different oceans of the world.  We found that their are four oceans, but they are all connected.  We learned a song about the oceans and read several books about oceans.  We are in the process of making our classroom an "Under the Sea" experience.

Here's our new Beach Center.

Each day, we start off with a Message in a Bottle.  So far all of our messages have been from teachers and staff members.  If you want to write a message, please send it to school with your child...in an envelope so it can be a surprise!

Ms. Townsend mixed up some ocean water (water and salt).  It tasted BAD, but we decided to go to the beach anyway.  Here we are dressed in our favorite beach attire...

..holding signs stating what we'd take to the beach with us.

We created our own coral reefs.  Aren't they colorful?

We're enjoying looking at shells and modeling our new
scuba gear.

Here's our class ocean.  So far it has crabs and coral.
Check back next week to see what sea creatures we'll be adding.
