Nursery Rhymes

Here are some samples of our Nursery Rhyme Activities...

We sang about the Itsy-Bitsy Spider and made this art project.  The spout was a straw so the spider could move up and down!  We found 8 "the"s in our poem.

We sang and read "Jack Be Nimble"...

....made an art project to go with it.

We sang and read "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star".  Ask your favorite "K" Kid to find our 'famous word' in the poem??

Then we made stars to 'twinkle' in our classroom.

Here are some of our Humpty's on the wall.

We read and sang about Humpty-Dumpty.  Have your favorite "K" Kid sing "Hip Hop Humpty" for you.

We have also been practicing our shapes during math time this week.  Have your child identify the crescent, rectangle, hexagon, octagon, star, heart, circle, oval, square, trapezoid, triangle, pentagon, rhombus, and parallelogram.

Here's a sample of our Shape Monsters.  They eat all sorts of shapes for their lunch.
