Dental Health, Nebraska State Day, Dr Seuss, and Oceans...

We learned about keeping our teeth healthy this week.

  1. Brush at least 2 times each day.

  2. Floss every day.

  3. Visit the dentist at least twice each year.

  4. Eat healthy foods.

Here's a poem that we learned about the tooth fairy.  It featured rhyming words and money.

We learned about brushing our teeth.  Here we are practicing with some big teeth from the health office.

Oh, dear!  Jacob has 1 cavity!

The dentist is checking out some x-rays of a patient's teeth.

Miss Townsend read Franklin Fools the Tooth Fairy.  Since she just happened to have the address of the Tooth Fairy, the class wrote a letter asking her questions.

After they wrote the class letter, the "K" Kids got to write individual letters.  We are hoping that she'll write back.

We graphed our favorite flavor of tooth paste.

Sponge Bob by Colgate was the class favorite.

To help celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, we dressed like characters from Dr. Seuss' books.

To help celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, we had some readers from the Bellevue West High basketball team come and read to us.  One of the players, Lindsay, was in Mrs. Brockhaus' class a long time ago!  These players are going to play in the state basketball tournament this weekend.  Good luck!!
