Zero the Hero!!

Zero the Hero's been bringing treats and activities to our classroom every tenth day of school, but on the 100th Day we got to meet her.

On day 99, we predicted what Zero the Hero would look like.  Some thought it would be a girl.  Some thought a boy.  We thought maybe "Zero" was taller than Mrs. Brockhaus and covered with alot of zeros.  Someone thought that "Zero" might be pink and some thought he/she would have a red, white, and blue suit.

Mrs. Zero the Hero arrived with a flourish and crashed her cart into our tables.  The "K" Kids reminded her that she needed to be quiet in the hallway because the 'big kids' were doing work.

After she made her way through the class, she began counting pennies to 100.  Every time she got to a number with a zero, she did a little dance.  After counting 100 pennies, something amazing happened...

Zero the Hero did a little magic for us.  With a lot of shaking the pennies and dancing, she changed 100 pennies into a dollar bill!

Here's our class with Mrs. Zero the Hero!  We loved your visit!!  Thanks for coming.

...And thanks for the snacks!

By the way...does she resemble anyone from our front office???

Here's our thank you note to Zero the Hero.
