Mrs. Wishy-washy

As we continued our study of the farm, we read the story Mrs. Wishy-washy.  Here are some pictures of our dramatization.

Here's the story, Mrs. Wishy-washy...As we read the story, we discussed the characters, the setting, the events, and the problem.  These are elements of fiction stories that we have been discussing throughout the year.

Here are our very own Mrs. Wishy-washy characters.  We were lucky enough to get to do the play for an audience when the Bellevue West Drama Class visited.

Here's one of our illustrations of Mrs. Wishy-washy that we did on transparencies for a 'movie'.

Since every good movie needs a little popcorn, we popped popcorn on the cob.  Do you see the cob and uncooked kernels?   We got this on our trip to Gifford Farm last week.  It smelled and tasted delicious...just like 'real popcorn'!

This week ends our study of farms.  We learned from books, movies, computer research, a field trip and a letter from a farmer.

Here are some samples of our 4-Square Writing.  We had to give 3 farm facts and a feeling sentence about farms.
