Week 3 of our Holiday Travels

    

We traveled to Italy and learned about La Befana.  She brings gifts to the children on January 6th.

Then we were off to Africa to celebrate Kawanzaa.  Here's a sample of our kinaras.

We weaved Kawanzaa mats.  They weren't easy!

But they sure looked good when we were finished!

 

Here's our map on our trip to Sweden where we learned about Santa Lucia.

   

And here are some samples of our Lucia wreathes and Star Boy hats.

One of our class graphs this week recorded our favorite Christmas songs.  Which one had the most?  the least?  How many more Santa than Frosty?  How many less Santa than Jingle Bells?
