Since "K" Kids wear
the pajamas at night, we all wore our pj's to school and had Pajama Day.
Every good pajama party needs popcorn so we made some...but we forgot to
put the lid on! |
Before we popped the
popcorn, we predicted where it would hit on our mat. Here are our
results. (Don't worry, Mom...we didn't eat the popcorn off of the
mat.) Mrs. James made some popcorn with the lid on for us to eat.
 |
While that popcorn was popping, we sang "The Popcorn
Song" and danced a little... |

...and read The Popcorn Shop by Alice Low. |

We read the story
"Roll Over". Here's a picture of us acting out the story. |

Don't worry, we aren't
really sleeping. It was too crowded and giggly to get any rest! |
|
Throughout the week, we made a class book, "Roll Over". We had to do
a lot of problem solving to figure out how many people our book needed.
During math, we reviewed patterning and made quilts for the book.
Your favorite "K" Kid will be bringing the book home to share soon. We
read the story Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and drew our own
wonderful owls. We
read Stellaluna by Janell Cannon and watched "The Magic School Bus, Going
Batty" to learn all about bats. These lovely creatures of the night
are decorating our classroom. Below are pictures of our "Bat
Bracelets" and a page from our Bat Book. The bracelets gave us
special powers to sound out words!
