Here are some sentences that we wrote about our
senses. Our word of the week was "my". |

We played a memory game to test our sense of
sight. We learned that our eyes are like a camera that takes a picture
and sends a message to our brain. |

Here is a sample of our sound matching
containers. Mrs. Brockhaus put things in the mystery containers and we
had to match them to the pictures by listening. |

We are learning the Sign Language Alphabet.
Sign Language is a way that people communicate when they cannot hear. |

This is our smell game. Again Mrs.
Brockhaus filled mystery containers with smells. We had to match them
to pictures without peeking into the containers |

We put our sense of touch to work by reaching in
the Feely Box and trying to guess what was in it. We tried to give our
friends clues to guess what we were holding. |

Friday, we finally got to test our sense of
taste! We all enjoyed the salty treat. |

Some of us enjoyed the sour treat. |

Nobody enjoyed the bitter treat. I was
told, "Mrs. Brockhaus, this is gross!" I had to agree. I don't
appreciate unsweetened chocolate much either! |

We all loved the sweet treat!! We even
begged for more chocolate kisses. |

Here's our graph of favorite tastes. Which
had the most? Which had the least? How many more sour than
salty? |
