Happy 100th Day of School!!

We started off by decorating our classroom with 100 balloons.

We danced a little while we decorated.

Zero the Hero finally arrived!  She's been bringing treats and activities to our classroom every tenth day of school, but on the 100th Day we got to meet her.  She arrived with great flair, singing about 100 Days of Work...does she resemble anyone from our front office???

Zero the Hero did a little magic for us.  With a lot of shaking the pennies and dancing, she changed 100 pennies into a dollar bill!

Here's our stack of 100 books!  It wasn't quite as tall as most of us thought.  (We taped our predictions on the door frame.)  Yates had our closest estimation.  We talked about how our stack could have been bigger if we would have had 'fatter' books.

We predicted where 100 steps from our classroom door would take us.

100 Steps will take us to…
