Helpful Reminders

Please remember that school begins each day at 8:00 a.m.  The first bell rings at 7:55.  Children should not arrive at school until 7:55 unless they are eating breakfast or going to Kids' Time.  Thanks!

Third grade students may enter through the north doors or the front doors.

School dismisses each day at 3:10.  Most students exit using the front doors and wait for their rides while standing around the loop.  The third grade designated pick-up location is by the light pole on the south side of the loop.  Please do not stop in your car and wait by the flag pole as this backs up traffic.  Another option is to park your car in the east parking lot and walk to the front of the building to meet your child.

Please be courteous and patient during drop off and pick up times.  We are serving hundreds of students at Fairview.

It may be helpful to pack your child's backpack the night before.  Please remember to send lunch money and any notes or homework back to school each day in your child's silver folder.  You can also send items for the P.T.A such as Campbell's soup labels, Boxtops for Education, and pop tabs any time.  We'll send them down to the office when the volunteer collects them.

We're learning to fill out our Student Planners each day to inform you as to what we do each day, but these planners do not need to be signed each day.  Please watch for your child's silver take-home folder each day in his/her backpack.  Have your child share the day with you as you review his/her planner and items in the silver folder.  If there is ever work that is not checked off in the planner or that is in the "Return to School" side of the silver folder, it should be completed at home and returned the next day in the silver folder.  Thanks!
