Mitchell South Dakota is home to the only corn palace in the world.

The Badlands are located in the southwestern part of South Dakota and consist of 244,000 acres of sharply eroded buttes blended with the largest, protected mixed grass prairie in the United States.

On Mt. Rushmore the presidents' noses are 20 feet long, their mouths are 18 feet wide, and their eyes are 11 feet across.
