We will be participating in a year long, online technology project with schools around the world. Each month we will be taking a picture from our classroom window as we observe how the scenery changes.

We will also be describing these changes to practice our descriptive writing. Our pictures and descriptions will be uploaded to "A Room With a View" online project link and shared with other participants. You will be able to follow our views through our pictures at this site monthly, as well as read about what we have observed. So check back often!

 

The National Educational Technology Standards

Grades 3 - 5

  • Use technology tools (e.g., multimedia authoring, presentation, Web tools, digital cameras, scanners) for individual and collaborative writing, communication, and publishing activities to create knowledge products for audiences inside and outside the classroom.

  • Determine which technology is useful and select the appropriate tool(s) and technology resources to address a variety of tasks and problems
