Rhode Island

 

Greetings From the smallest state in the U.S.A ~Rhode Island! We live in Cranston, R.I. Gladstone Elementary School ("Happy Rock") has 520 students. We have 20 students in our grade 3 classroom. Did you know that Rhode Islanders were the first to take military action against England by sinking one of her ships in the Narragansett Bay located between Newport and  Providence. The English ship was called "The Gaspee". We have all 4 seasons. We have great beaches and a wonderful too, which is located in our capital, Providence.

State Color:  Rhode Island Red

State Flower: Violet (viola)
