Welcome to Nevada.  We are a class of 24 fourth graders.  We have 700 students at our school and we go to school year-round.  Our months off are, August, December, and April.  In Nevada we have large deserts and beautiful snow-capped mountains.  We share Lake Tahoe with California and it is North America's largest mountain lake.  Our summers are very hot and our winters are very cold with lots of snow.  If we are lucky, we get a snow day!! Our state is called the Silver State because we mine a lot of silver and gold here.  Nevada is a Spanish word for snowfall.  We are looking forward to learning about your state.
