Students will describe the basic workings of the circulatory, respiratory, and nervous systems.
Students will explain proper daily and long-term dental care practices and the types of teeth.
Students will describe simple safety principles such as playground and bicycle safety.
Students will describe basic first aid procedures including handling of bodily fluids, the importance of covering your mouth, and staying home from school when you're sick.
Students will explain the food pyramid and the importance of eating a balanced diet.
Students will identify factors contributing to successful relationships with peers including cooperation.
Students will demonstrate how the Boys' Town Social Skills can lead to responsible decision-making.
Students will demonstrate knowledge of responsibly handling the increased personal independence that comes with maturing (latchkey situations, personal safety).
