Summary

A love for iced chocolate links two girls from very different countries and cultures in this imaginative and informative story. One girl lives on the tropical island of Santo Domingo, where "chocolate grows on trees"; the other is from northern Maine, where, during harsh winters in the 1800s, blocks of ice are harvested from the rivers and sold to tropical countries.
