How to Use Math Integration Guides
|

|
|
|
|
Rationale
for Use:
- Busy teachers do
not have as much time as they would like to find each of the programs
which integrate with the math textbook, so the technology team has
created these guides.
- The guides are a
cooperative effort with the grade-level teachers who use them.
- When teachers find
a computer related activity which integrates, the activity will be added
to the guide for all teachers at the grade-level to use.
- The guides are a
work-in-progress and will continue to be so.

|
How
to Use the Guide:
- Each Math lesson in
the guide may have one or more computer lessons which can be used to
reinforce it. Check the integration guide for the name of the
program and the activity.
- The guides are
divided by math text unit and each lesson and page that have a related computer lesson are noted.
Students do not need to do all computer activities in the guide for a
given lesson. The rationale for including all computer lessons was
to give teachers a quick reference.
- Desired lessons
could be written on the board for students at the beginning of a
computer lab session.
- Some teachers have
created a lesson checklist for students. As the students complete
the lesson, they check it off their list.
