Frogs have smooth skin.  They are amphibians because they begin their lives as a fish-like creature and change almost completely.  Frogs come from eggs that are hatched in the water.  They begin their lives as tadpoles which look like small fish.  After a time, small legs begin to grow near the tadpoles tail.  Next, the front legs which look a bit like arms begin to appear.  Finally, the tail will almost disappear and we will see what looks like a frog.  

     There are many different kinds of frogs. There is even one called a tree frog that lives in trees.
