  • The housefly's body is divided into three parts: head, thorax, abdomen.
  • They have two almost clear wings.
  • It can taste things with its feet and its mouth.
  • The life of a fly is about 21 days.
  • Their color is a dark gray.  They are about a half an inch long.
  • The fly lays about 120-150 eggs at a time.
  • Houseflies carry all kinds of diseases that can really hurt people.  The germs are put on food and on people when the flies land on them or on the food.
