Around the School on a Freezing Day 

It was another school day with the thought of Fairview and Firebirds

Far from my brain. Instead, I notice the little things.

 

Big dots of different colors, standing by each other, scarred.

Swirling bunches of clothes lost, but not yet found.

A Christmas tree, green and beautiful, with presents all ‘round.

There is this tree. It’s beautiful.

 

Kids learning the alphabet with a hallway teacher

Kids making crafts; They’re hanging everywhere

The library. Home to books - BIG and also small

So quiet – people looking, sitting, reading, learning… new things

Kindergartens Everywhere! Raising hands, working, sitting, at

10:55 in the AM.

 

Second graders tee-die pictures hanging in the halls.

Narnia posters and Spider-Man Clock-on-the-wall, hanging.

I notice the teacher loves spiderman – he has him all around but

The teacher’s class is doing Spelling – Don’t Interrupt!

Second Graders everywhere! Reading Books Anywhere!

 

Artistic paintings in the hallway all blue and white.

Paintings on the wall. They look like… no one at all….

One painting looks… it looks back at me…..

Strange but colorful, and, on the wall, hypnotizing me, the picture

Just colorful paper on the walls.

 

Hand. Flag. Hand. Flag. On the wall you are BIG

Not small

Silver, Spectacular Shining Key

Playground as fun as can be. Playing games until the bell rings.

The aquatic water with so many wonders….

Fishy, fishy swam away. Fishy, fishy in the hallway.

Fishy swim to me.

Swim   to   me.

 

In the end I think, think again.

Fairview really is beautiful.

Beautiful.

Foods by Sydney

Food, Food, Food you got

to love food there is

pumpkin pie, fruit on the vine

and vegetables are there till you die, candy, popcorn everywhere

 

buttermilk pancakes sizzle

well there go the waffles

out of the toaster smack

sizzle yea, yum, yum, yum

 

peanut butter and jelly spread

it out and hotdog with

ketchup and don't forget

mustard on that cheese

burgers apple pie come on

 

light up a little eat, all right

till midnight mm mm food.

Snow

Snow, snow, snow what a beautiful blanket of snow sitting and waiting for someone to go down the hill snow, snow, snow beautiful snow

Oh yeah!
